The Experience

Porto doesn't need a reason. But running a half through one of Europe's most beautiful cities, with a group of people like you, is a pretty good one.


We handle the logistics. You show up to run the race how you want, whether thats chasing a PB or just soaking it in. Then spend the rest of the weekend eating, drinking and exploring with people we know you'll want to come back with next year. 


The Hyundai Porto Half Marathon follows the Douro River past wine cellars and iconic bridges with a vibey crowd. Fast, flat and genuinely spectacular. But honestly? The race is just the excuse.

Where we stay

We stay in a modern, centrally located hostel. It’s tidy, safe and comfortable, with rooms of 6 beds, lockers and plenty of space.

 

A few private rooms are available, but we always encourage the shared rooms.

 

We’re here for the vibes, the laughs and the social atmosphere that makes Stride what it is. ​​

Your Weekend Experience

Saturday 12th September - Arrival & Social Run

We recommend getting a morning flight that lands before 1pm, so you can make the most of your Stride Tour

Touch down, check in and meet the crew. Late in the afternoon we'll kick things off with an easy shakeout social run through the city, nothing serious just a few kilometres to loosen up and meet your new running mates.

As we head back to the hostel you can get an ice cream on us to ease us into the weekend.

 

Later, we'll link back up for a group dinner, somewhere with solid carbs and good atmosphere. A proper team meal before race day.
