The Experience
Bilbao's half marathon is one of Europe's most exciting running experiences. A fast, flowing course along the Nervión River, through streets shaped by striking Basque architecture and rich industrial history. This is a night race making it stand out as an exciting Half Marathon to take on in Europe, for runners looking for a different kind of race to tackle.
The race is only a small part of our weekend. This group running trip to Bilbao pulls you into everything the city, the old town, the world-class food scene, riverside walks and evenings sharing pintxos and local wine with the legendary crew who ran the same 21km as you.

Where we stay
We stay in a modern, centrally located hostel. It’s tidy, safe and comfortable, with rooms of 6 beds and privacy curtains on every bunk.
A few private rooms are available, but we always encourage the shared rooms. We’re here for the vibes, the laughs and the social atmosphere that makes Stride what it is.
We're less than a 30-minute walk from the start line.

Give us one more night and we’ll show you how this city works, not through landmarks, but through bars, plates and whatever local delights are being poured behind the counter.
Sunday morning, take it slow. Wander, recover, pretend you’re cultured.
Then in the afternoon, we take over with a 3-hour pintxos crawl through the spots you won’t find, led by a local legend born and raised in Bilbao:
• Pintxos that make no sense how good they are
• Drinks included with wine, beer, cocktails or softs.
• Small bars with big personality, zero tourist traps.
• Stories from the Basque Country that you won’t hear anywhere else.
